This section contains details of every known first team match and friendly that has been played by Oxford United and Headington United since turning professional in 1949. It also includes a selection from pre-Southern League days and some reserves, 'A' team and youths fixtures.
The library is split into seasons for matchday programmes, and there are additional sections for memorabilia.
Values included with the programmes represent our view of the average price you should expect to pay for the programmes in mint condition. Sometimes you will be able to buy or sell a programme for more or less than this figure. It is only intended to be a guide based on our experience, and information obtained from actual purchase and sale prices, in auctions, straight sales and at fairs, over several years. When buying, you should expect to pay up to 20% more to a dealer than in a private sale. When selling you should expect to receive just 20% of a programmes value from a dealer compared to a private buyer. Mint condition generally means as new. However, for older programmes, natural yellowing of pages and some rusting of staples is normal and should not be regarded as reducing the value of a programme. If anything, a 50 year old programme without slightly discoloured pages should be viewed with suspicion. Any writing, wear, creasing, tears, and particularly poor repairs and unnatural tampering with a programme may seriously reduce it's value.
Following much research by many of the leading collectors of Oxford United programmes and memorabilia, this section includes what is believed to be the most definitive list of Oxford United and Headington United matches, including postponed and abandoned games, friendlies and testimonials played and not played and whether or not programmes were produced for every match listed. Sometimes a programme will mean a full glossy matchday programme, for other matches this may be just a single sheet listing the teams. Where known, this information has been given. There remain a few matches where certainty that a programme was produced or not has been impossible to determine. Therefore, a grading system has been used:
